QCI law introduces Esports Immigration Practice

For Immediate Release

With great excitement and optimism, we are proud to announce that Queen City Immigration Law provides farmers across the nation with advocacy services for obtaining P-1 visas for professional gamers in the esports industry. The P-1A visa is designed to authorize international professional athletes to work in the United States. It allows esports teams and agents to hire foreign nationals of eligible countries to perform and compete in the United States as individuals or as part of a team. USCIS has recognized esports athletes for P-1 status over the past couple of years but there remains inconsistency in the processing of applications.

“Esports is consistently one of the fastest growing sports in the world,” partner, Sherrod Seward says. “Even still, many investors and team owners are weary of the stringent administrative requirements of doing the process correctly.”

Several premier law firms and service providers already operate in Esports but there is still room to introduce fresh approaches. Queen City Immigration law already has structures and approaches in place for P-1 visa petitions that involve non-traditional sports.

Going forward, Queen City Immigration Law will begin a marketing campaign to educate the espots industry about our P-1A program and provide valuable expertise to allow esports pro gamers to flourish.
